Is it the action or is it the judgement after the action that sends us on a spiral ??
Here is the scenario –
We wake up full of energy (or not) Let me rephrase that ..
We wake up full of intent to smash our goals that we planned …
We chug along beautifully most of the day and then … Something happens that makes us feel uncomfortable
Like fatigue – stress stuff like that We turn to what we know – that stops us feeling uncomfortable Sugar – coffee – alcohol or whatever.
Which if you were to look at it over a week as a calorie or macro count is not the death of your goals ..
Weight loss for example .. (Or you can apply this to most behaviour changes that you are looking at .. ) it’s the judgement after the feeling it creates that leads us down the spiral of feeling crap which feeds the desire even more so ..
to turn to what makes the pain go away .. We go to bed feeling like a failure – again With intent to do better tomorrow ..
And the cycle continues .. Instead of looking at it from a different perspective With a different view ..
Does this happen to you?
What do we do with this ?
