Self Doubt. Have you ever had it?

Have you ever had self doubt ….

Omg I am literally sitting here wondering what the hell I am doing….

I am questioning the path I am taking in choosing to challenge the dieting industry

I am wondering if it is just easier to go back to doing something, I know will give me more security and regular pay…. But

What happens if I do that – I do take the easier road – the regular pays – more consistent life and security. There is always a payoff….will I regret the easy path I chose…will I always wonder -what if the success I am looking for was just over that next hill and I chose to go right to avoid that last climb..

Well you can apply this to almost anything that challenges us in life…

If you bail out just before or never start what will you miss out on?

I read something the other day that implied

“it is just as hard not to as it is to”

Maybe in different ways but both journeys have their challenges…

So, what do we do when we have self-doubt – like me today? Take a deep breath – head up and break down those steps especially when you feel overwhelmed or challenged.

When I’m Training people and they want to learn to run for example (I don’t do so much running now) – I use counting the steps as a motivator to get them to the end…and it works a treat …rather then looking at the massive challenge ahead  –we focus on the steps one at a time….. and I cannot tell you how many times my clients cannot believe what they had achieved….

I now use this same technique in my clinic environment as well and it has proven just as successful – step by step….

Create a journey – nope not going to be easy- not promising that -but break it into realistic chunks that you can learn from.

Learn to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.   

Keep it real.

Focus on what you can do today

Big or small

As long as you do something to take you forward…
