There is no such thing as a bad day, just great data

Did you know your thoughts are just as important as what you eat and how you exercise for sustainable change?  So in all my years of working in health and fitness I have seen wins and losses in many ways ..   I started out like most trainers and professionals working in area of weight loss and fitness sticking to the conventional rules of eat less  and exercise more .

Highlighting and emphasising what the client did wrong .. and trying to justify why they weren’t losing weight to justify me ..   Well that was my job initially … wasn’t it ??

But … I am the why person … Why is it that this person is doing it right and seeing nothing – in terms of results .. It lead me down a path of investigation.. It lead me to study metabolic physiology and health and wellness ..

Here I learnt how to motivate .. how to support .. how to work on behaviour change and how to look at the big picture .. how to look at everybody as unique .. how our thoughts our beliefs our values and In turn our behaviours have just a big of an impact on weight-loss as what we eat how we exercise.

So it’s important to ~ Acknowledge:

  • Your strengths
  • Your weaknesses
  • Your values
  • Your beliefs
  • What you love
  • What you hate
  • Your past – successes and wins
  • Your current life

Because that is you .. celebrate what you have learnt and use it to progress forward ..   I heard a great saying and I use it a lot now

“There is no such thing as a bad day, just great data”

So in terms of lifestyle and sustainable change .. celebrate you .. who you are .. where you have been.. what you have learnt .. use it to boost you instead of pulling you down…

Start here … that’s what I do with my clients .. You are amazing .. you are you ..
